Directions

We're Between Melton Mowbray and Oakham: Just off the A606

Greendale is easily found just off the A606 – three miles north of Oakham and five miles south of Melton Mowbray. Please follow these directions for the last part of your journey (not your sat-nav). Caravans and larger motorhomes need to approach from the A606 and not from Whissendine village (please don’t get this wrong – you won’t get through the gate).

From Melton Mowbray

  1. Follow the A606 from Melton Mowbray towards Oakham
  2. Ignore the first two turnings to Whissendine
  3. Turn left half a mile past the ‘RUTLAND’ sign
    (You will see a ‘LEFT TURN’ sign 150yds before the turning.  There is also a brown ‘CAMPSITE’ sign pointing to Greendale Farm Park directly opposite PICKWELL LANE, it is sometimes difficult to see so be careful)
  4. You are now on Pickwell Lane
  5. You will find Greendale Farm Caravan & Camping park after around 3/4 of a mile on your right

From Oakham

  1. Follow the A606 from Oakham towards Melton Mowbray
  2. Pass through Langham
  3. Ignore the right turn to Whissendine as you exit Langham
  4. After a mile and a half, shortly after a left turn to Northfield Farm Shop & Tea Room you will see a “RIGHT TURN in 150 YARDS” sign. This is the turning you need.
  5. A slip road enables a safe right turn into PICKWELL LANE. Signposted “WHISSENDINE and CAMPSITE”
  6. You are now on Pickwell Lane
  7. After 3/4 of a mile you will find Greendale Farm Caravan & Camping park on your right.
