    Greendale is a friendly and peaceful adults-only site welcoming lovely tranquil people and their caravans, motorhomes or tents. We are graded 5***** by Visit England.

    Small is beautiful - Our campsite has all you need

    We have 12 beautiful pitches, all with hard-standing and electric hook-up. Our heated shower and toilet block is spotless. You can find essentials, snacks and local products in our shop. We are a quiet, friendlly site and find that everybody respects each other, the environment and their campsite.

    Whissendine Windmill

    Take a walk to Whissendine Windmill. If the sails are going round then you are sure to find Nigel there, and he will be happy to show you round. You can buy Windmill flour in our campsite shop too!

  • Our prices vary throughout the year. We are always over-subscribed in high season and on bank holiday weeks so we do have a minimum stay at these times. We regularly have special-offers though, especially for short, last-minute breaks. We'll post these on the website.

  • What's Happening Around Rutland

    We may be England's smallest county, but there is always lots going on. Greendale is the perfect base for many events festivals & shows. We'll keep you updated on the best local events, but don't forget the below which are always on your doorstep at Greendale Farm Park.

    • Rutland Water: Year-round cycling, walking, angling, sailing, bird-watching and lots more.
    • Oakham: Rutland's County Town is three miles away and full of history & interest. Visit the castle, experience the markets and taste the beer. 
    • Whissendine: A pleasant 15 minutes walk will get you to Whissendine village centre, with a fabulous (dog-friendly) pub, working Windmill and great village shop, off-licence and post office.
    • Stamford & Burghley House: 20 minutes drive from Greendale, Stamford is a great town for a day out - and Burghley House is right on it's doorstep. [If you have a motorhome, Burghley is a great and easy place to park up, you can visit the house and ornamental gardens and walk through the landscaped grounds to Stamford].

    Afternoon Osprey Cruise 15th, 22nd & 29th June

    A 90 minute cruise on board the Rutland Belle with members of the Rutland Osprey Team - looking at the wildlife around the reservoir and in particular looking out for fishing ospreys.

    There will be a live commentary pointing out things of interest and providing information about the osprey project and the reservoir. Light refreshments are available on board.

    Afternoon Cruises are available on the following remaining days in May and June.

    Rutland Food, Drink & Craft Festival 6th-7th July

    Rutland's first Food, Drink & Craft Fair -    Organised by Living Heritage Food Festivals - this promises to be a fabulous event.

    Birdfair: Friday 16th - Sunday 18th August

    Rutland Water - Egleton

    Described as the birdwatchers' Glastonbury;  This is the event of the year if you're into birds and wildlife. Hundreds of stands selling the latest products for wildlife enthusiasts and a packed programme of events and talks.
