    Small is beautiful - Our campsite has all you need

    We have 12 beautiful pitches, all with hard-standing and electric hook-up. Our heated shower and toilet block is spotless. You can find essentials, snacks and local products in our shop. We are a quiet, friendlly site and find that everybody respects each other, the environment and their campsite.

    There's so much to do around Rutland Water. Whatever you do, you must take in the wild-life of this amazing area.

    Whissendine Windmill

    Take a walk to Whissendine Windmill. If the sails are going round then you are sure to find Nigel there, and he will be happy to show you round. You can buy Windmill flour in our campsite shop too!

  • Our campsite has all you need for a great break. Hard-standing pitches, hook-up, heated shower/toilet block, free WiFi, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We have a shop with local products and essentials, a visitor-information area with maps, guides, walks and cycle-routes. Our heated swimming pool is open in high season.

  • The campsite is always busy in the Summer season, please try to book early! We do have a minimum stay at busy times, but it's always worth checking to see if we can fit you into a gap. Some of our pitches can't accommodate larger motorhomes, caravans and tents - if you know your unit's dimensions we'll be able to advise you.

  • What's Happening Around Rutland

    Rutland may be England's smallest county, but there is always plenty going on. Greendale is the perfect base for many events festivals & shows. We'll try to keep you updated on the best local events, but don't forget the below which are always on your doorstep at Greendale Farm Park.

    • Rutland Water: Year-round cycling, walking, angling, sailing, bird-watching and lots more.
    • Oakham: Rutland's County Town is three miles away and full of history & interest. Visit the castle, experience the markets and taste the beer. 
    • Whissendine: A pleasant 15 minutes walk will get you to Whissendine village centre, with a fabulous (dog-friendly) pub, working Windmill, tea-room/cafe and great village shop, off-licence and post office.
    • Stamford & Burghley House: 20 minutes drive from Greendale, Stamford is a great town for a day out - and Burghley House is right on it's doorstep. [If you have a motor-home, Burghley is a great and easy place to park up, you can visit the house and ornamental gardens and walk through the landscaped grounds to Stamford].

    Fireworks Champions at Belvoir Castle 31st August 4pm - 10.40pm.

    Oh my word, this is an awesome event. It's a 20 minute drive from the campsite, but it's worth it.

    Originally scheduled for earlier this month, but cancelled due to weather.

    We went last year, and despite the beautiful summer - it rained.  But it was completely amazing. More like a music festival atmosphere.

    Burghley Horse Trials 2019 5th - 8th September

    This is the premier equestrian and social event in the international sporting calendar and a focus for the best horses and riders in the world.

    Burghley's grounds provide a perfect setting for the competition and a stunning location for the popular shopping village. Over 600 exhibitors – tempting all ages and tastes.

    On the doorstep of the beautiful town of Stamford too.
