We are a short walk from the village of Whissendine which has two pubs [one serving food], a well stocked village shop and a working windmill renowned for its organic flour. Just a mile in the opposite direction is Northfield Farm Shop and Les Rosbif Restaurant.

Greendale is an ideal  base for  walking, cycling,  bird watching, art, eating out, heritage, Barnsdale Gardens and of course Rutland Water. This huge scenic reservoir has nature reserves, famous for the osprey project; water sports; fly fishing; cycle-routes & more, with attractive stone villages nearby.

Greendale is 6 miles from Rutland Water, 4 miles from Oakham & 6 miles from Melton Mowbray. Lying halfway between London & York, Rutland is found in the middle of Leicester, Nottingham, Lincoln & Peterborough.
