Built by William the Conqueror in 1070, Rockingham Castle is a treasure-house of history and intrigue. It was given to Edward Watson by Henry VIII in 1544 and still remains the family home of the Watson family.
The castle has lots to offer and makes for a memorable day out. It is great value too.
About 15 miles from Greendale it should take less than 30 minutes to get there by car. (Satnav use LE16 8TH)

PLEASE SEE OUR DIRECTIONS PAGE - DON'T USE YOUR SATNAV FOR THE LAST PART OF YOUR JOURNEY.
