  • Need Provisions on Your Way Here?

  • Just a few tips if it's a last-minute getaway, or there are a few provisions you need to pick up on your way.

If you're anything like us you'll think you have packed everything you need for your break - then on your way you'll remember that the chicken is still in the fridge and the dog food has been left behind!

You're likely to be driving past either Oakham or Melton Mowbray, both towns are well provided with supermarkets but some have limited parking and tight access, so please have a read of the below.

If you need caravan or motorhome spares, then Melton Mowbray has a great little stop-off but it's tricky parking close-by. (If you've forgotten basics like a hook-up cable, hose pipe etc then we'll usually have something we can lend you. Give us a ring to make sure)

We generally have plenty of fresh milk, eggs, sweets and snacks in the campsite shop, and don't forget that there is a great village store selling food & essentials (including alcohol) - open 'til 7pm on weekdays and 2pm on Sunday.

There is a M&S at the filling station next to Aldi too, It's expensive but OK for essentials.
