    National Watersports Festival 8th - 10th June

    National Watersports Festival

This is the largest participation water sports event in the UK. Fondly known as “The People’s Festival,” it caters for novice and intermediate watersports enthusiasts. The aim of NWF is to transform the spectator into the participant (competitor)!
NWF has grown from the successful and unique National Windsurfing Festival and is now the largest event of it’s type on the national calendar.
Previously held on Hayling Island in Hampshire, the event came to Rutland Water in 2017 to expand. We hope it has found a home that will enable it to continue its history of popularity and grwoth.
The NWF is a mass-participation event with a great atmosphere, taster sessions and a simple, “Out-and-Back” race format. The race format is designed to be non-intimidating, so that any intermediate, recreational sailor can take part, regardless of their ability. Most of all, NWF is about having fun, on and off the water – the beach parties with live bands are now legendary!
