Whether you like tracks or you're a dedicated road cyclist, the opportunities here are endless. Rutland Water is a focal point for cycling and cycling events, but there is plenty more to see. Our country lanes are ideal for bikes, and there is always something interesting to see, or somewhere nice to stop-off for refreshments.
You can find great country walks directly from the campsite, or you can find lots of variety slightly further afield.
Our information-stop has plenty of local maps and walking/cycling routes and suggestions. We recommend a local circular bike-ride (or walk) between Whissendine Windmill and Wymondham Windmill. The cafe, cycle shop and gift shop at Wymondham Windmill will keep you fed, watered and entertained at the half-way point. And if the weather is up to it - you can cool off in our fab little pool when you get back!
It is easy to connect to national cycle routes 63 and 64 from the campsite.
PLEASE SEE OUR DIRECTIONS PAGE - DON'T USE YOUR SATNAV FOR THE LAST PART OF YOUR JOURNEY.
Many of our campers come here time and again. They love the peace and tranquility of the campsite and the beautiful surroundings. We rely on them (and you) to respect fellow campers, the surroundings and your environment. This ensures that the campsite maintains a friendly, sociable and relaxed atmosphere where everybody gets along. Several of our customers have met life-long friends at Greendale...
